1. Gutter and Down Spouts:Clean out leaves, look for leaks when it is raining, or turn the garden hose on roof and look for leaks.2. Furnace:Change filters once a month.3. Repair Caulk:This should be done on the outside of the house around window and doors and don’t forget to caulk tubs and showers.4. Plumbing Inspection:Look under the kitchen, bath and laundry sinks for any plumbing leaks.5. GFCIs-Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters:Push the test button to see if the reset button pops out, if not it needs to be replaced.6. Wood-Fire Chimneys:Inspect it for creosote build up.9. Smoke Detectors:Push the test button to be sure the alarm responds and replace batteries.7. Kitchen inspection:Check the range hood filter for grease build up, clean the dust from around the refrigerator coils and check the fire extinguisher to be sure it is fully charged.8. Garage Door:Test the reversing mechanism.10. Carbon Monoxide Detectors:Push the test button to be sure the alarm responds and replace the batteries.11. Decks:Pressure wash if necessary and then treat with stain or paint.12. Vegetation:Cut back vegetation 1 foot from siding.13. Crawlspace:Crawl the perimeter walls checking for moisture and be sure vents are not blocked14. Sump Pumps:Be sure they are operational.15. Floor Drains:Pour a bucket of water down the drain to be sure it is not blocked.
